On 18 May the nature department, the Rasputin Museum and the Museum Studio held open days.
On 18 May 2026, International Museum Day, the Irkutsk Regional Museum of Local History held its “Museum Wave” event. Open days took place in the nature department (a free tour of the exhibition “Why I Am Not a Beetle” at 14:00), at the V. G. Rasputin Museum (a tour of the exhibition “Bound to Irkutsk by Fate” in the museum courtyard at 12:00) and at the Museum Studio, where a free curator’s tour of the exhibition “Big History”, about Irkutsk’s main street, was held at 16:00.
