Today, 40 conscripts were sent to the enlistment center in Goncharovo. The boys were seen off with parting words of kindness by their parents, friends, and representatives of the military commissariat. The conscription period into the Army ends on December 31, which means that twice more, on December 18 and 24, the conscripts will be sent to the assembly point.
As noted by a member of the draft board, Deputy Director for Life Safety at Lyceum No. 1 Alexander Bakhmatov, the current young men are going to serve in the Armed Forces willingly, seeking to obtain a military specialty in demand in the army, for example, a fuel tanker operator. Among high school students, there is interest in studying at a military academy. Today, many want to link their future lives with the profession of a serviceman.
“The autumn draft activities are proceeding according to plan. The assignment set by the Military Commissariat of the Irkutsk Region will be fulfilled in full,” commented Anatoly Mikhailov, head of the department of the Military Commissariat of the Irkutsk Region for the Leninsky and Sverdlovsky districts of Irkutsk, on the situation.
