The athletes will present routines in individual programs, mixed pairs, groups, and trios.“The sports aerobics championships in our city have been held since 1997. Every year there is a new program. The judges evaluate the athletes’ performances according to three main criteria: execution, difficulty of the routine, and artistry. For the upcoming competitions, we managed for the first time to bring together two Russian national teams – the junior and the youth teams. They consist of the silver medalists of the World Sports Aerobics Championship, which took place at the beginning of summer in Bulgaria,” said Olga Demidenko, senior coach of the Irkutsk Region national team and coach of the Russian youth national team in sports aerobics.
According to the results of the championship, the best athletes will become part of the sports aerobics team of Irkutsk and the Irkutsk Region.
Anyone who wishes can come and support the Irkutsk athletes; admission for spectators is free. The opening of the open Irkutsk sports aerobics championship will take place on December 15 at 11:00 in the Trud Sports Palace.
