Russia has announced a contest to design the emblem of the bandy world championship. Both individuals and legal entities may take part. The logo should reflect the scale of the tournament, its link to the country and host city, and the promotion of bandy, sports values and traditions. Winners will receive cash prizes, and the results will be announced in February 2013.
The competition to develop the emblem will be held from December 20, 2012 to February 20, 2013. Both legal entities and individuals may take part in it. Entries must be submitted no later than February 15, 2013.According to the terms of the competition, the logo should reflect the essence and scale of the Bandy World Championship as the premier international competition in its category, as well as the country and city where the World Championship will be held.
The logo should also reflect the ideas and main objectives of the championship: promoting bandy, promoting sporting values – self-control, determination, and technical skill.
In addition, the logo should reflect the following characteristics and values: energy, clarity, respect, skill, tradition, and belonging to Russia. The logo must allow for the modification of elements for design and use in various types of printed and souvenir products. According to the competition criteria, the work must be original, have a high artistic and professional level, and comply with modern trends in logo design.
Entries should be sent to the email address vrkadirov@mail.ru (no more than 3 logo options, image in jpeg format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, image size must not exceed 5 MB), as well as an explanatory note to the developed logos and personal data (full name, year of birth, phone number, and e-mail for contact).
The author of the work that takes first place will receive a cash prize of 30,000 rubles, 20,000 rubles is awarded for 2nd place, and 10,000 rubles for 3rd place. The results of the competition will be announced at a meeting of the Organizing Committee in February 2013.
