In Irkutsk, new rules for public transport are being prepared. For the most in demand routes, they plan to hold a competition to conclude transport service contracts. All market participants will be able to carry out transport if they comply with the set requirements. From January, carriers, including private ones, must agree on route schemes and road condition inspection reports, and raids will begin if these documents are missing. Transport will also have set intervals, from 4 to 5 minutes at peak hours to 10 to 12 minutes when passenger flow decreases.

At the same time, the developers note that each route has its own features. For the most popular ones, which are served by many carriers, it is planned to announce a tender for the conclusion of transport service contracts. At the same time, as the deputy head of the Department of Road Construction, Improvement and Transport of the Housing and Utilities Committee of the Irkutsk administration, Yulia Gordina, emphasized, all participants in this market will have the opportunity to carry out transportation, provided certain requirements are met.
Public transport will run at a certain interval — from 4-5 minutes during peak hours to 10-12 minutes when passenger traffic decreases.
Starting in January, carriers, including private ones, must coordinate route schemes and road condition technical inspection reports. The Housing and Utilities Committee, together with the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate and UGADN, will conduct raids to identify those carriers who do not have these documents.
