In Irkutsk, the kidnapping of an infant from the Ivano Matreninskaya Children's Clinical Hospital was uncovered. A woman in a medical coat posed as the baby's mother and took her away under the pretext of procedures. More than 600 police officers were mobilized, and a few hours later the girl was found in an apartment on Sevastopolskaya Street. Possible accomplices and the motives of the suspect, who is preliminarily 25, are now being checked.

Let us remind you that the incident occurred on the eve of January 10. Around 2:00 p.m., a woman in a medical gown entered one of the wards of the Ivano-Matreninskaya Children's Clinical Hospital. She introduced herself to the nurses as the child's mother and, under the pretext of needing to carry out procedures for her daughter, disappeared in an unknown direction.
Immediately after information about the kidnapping of the infant was received, the Irkutsk police garrison was put on alert. More than 600 law enforcement officers were involved in searching for the child. The internal and external surveillance cameras were examined in detail, and dozens of different theories were worked through.
By midnight, the search area had been significantly narrowed, and the police had specific suspects. An hour later, the little girl was found in one of the apartments on Sevastopolskaya Street in the regional center.
According to preliminary data, a 25-year-old resident of Irkutsk is involved in the kidnapping. At the same time, it is not ruled out that the act was not spontaneous. It is assumed that the girl may have had accomplices who helped her carry out her unlawful intentions. In addition, information is being checked that the Irkutsk woman was prompted to do this by a desire to have a child, while she had health problems that prevented her from giving birth on her own.
