At the Irkutsk airport, an operation will be held to collect outstanding debts from those who are planning to leave the Russian Federation.
This operation will be held in Irkutsk for the first time. Its purpose is to monitor the effectiveness of debt repayment. This was announced today at a press conference by Yuri Igoshin, head of the department for organizing work on locating debtors and their property at the Federal Bailiff Service Administration for the Irkutsk Region.
As part of the operation, it is planned to check passengers on 3-4 flights. Debtors will be able to pay off their outstanding debts on the spot. In total, according to Igoshin, since the beginning of this year, 478 debtors have been restricted from leaving the country, including 172 people with loan debts, 66 with alimony debts, 63 with tax debts, and 50 with debts to the property management committee, customs, the pension fund, and others. A total of 329 million 447 thousand rubles is subject to collection, including 6 million 535 thousand rubles in alimony and 177 million 186 thousand rubles in loans. 3 million 146 thousand rubles have been voluntarily paid toward the debt. Over the past five months of this year, the travel restriction has been lifted for 84 citizens who have repaid their debts.
Yuri Igoshin noted that in order to avoid unpleasant surprises when flying abroad, citizens should check whether they have any debts. To do this, they need to contact the bailiff service at their place of registration.
