In the Irkutsk region, applications are open for the School of Social Entrepreneurship, with blended learning ending in a project and certificate. Participants will have classes, mentor consultations, and a chance to pitch ideas to investors.

Training is conducted in a blended in-person and distance-learning format: five sessions of two days each. The result of studying at the school is the development of competencies in the field of social entrepreneurship, as well as a social entrepreneurship project that has been developed and launched. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate of the established form.
The training consists of three main components: educational, consulting, and investment. The educational component includes both theoretical instruction and practical classes on creating a social entrepreneurship project. The consulting component provides for work with mentors from among successful businesspeople who will analyze the project, point out mistakes, and give practical advice. The investment component means that the school provides participants with the opportunity to present their projects to potential investors.
Following the first intake from May to November 2012, 24 social entrepreneurship projects were developed within the school, 15 of which were prepared for launch and submitted for consideration by investors.
The school operates on the basis of the Center for Social Innovation of Irkutsk State University within the framework of the ISU Strategic Development Program for 2012-2016 with the support of the Government of the Irkutsk Region, the Administration of Irkutsk, and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (Moscow).

Participants who pass the preliminary selection will be invited to an in-person selection training, following which enrollment in the Irkutsk Region School of Social Entrepreneurship will take place.
