In Irkutsk Region, the 2012 Person of the Year awards were announced. The Grand Prix and the Order of Glory to the Fatherland went to Rosneft president Igor Sechin.

The winners of the award are determined by an expert council, which includes politicians, state and public figures, and representatives of the business elite, as well as Russian and foreign media. The Grand Prix winner of the “Person of the Year 2012” contest and the Order of “Glory of the Fatherland” was Rosneft President Igor Sechin. “Person in Public Administration” was awarded to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and the Acting Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Vorobyov, was recognized for “Career of the Year.”
The winner in the “Head of a Non-Profit Organization” category was Sergei Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; in the “Head of a Federal Agency” category – Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management Olga Dergunova. “Person in Education” was scientific supervisor of the Higher School of Economics, Evgeny Yasin. In the “Person in Culture” category, the winners were Vladimir Spivakov, President of the Moscow International House of Music, and Yuri Bashmet, artistic director and chief conductor of the State Symphony Orchestra “New Russia.”
“Businessman of the Year” was named as Viktor Vekselberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renova and President of the Skolkovo Foundation. “Banker of the Year” was Andrey Kostin, President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank OJSC, and “Manager of the Year” was Mikhail Pogosyan, President and Chairman of the Management Board of United Aircraft Corporation OJSC. In the “Effective Management” category, Nikolai Andreev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CJSC Sberbank-AST, won.
The winners in the special categories were:
“Business Reputation” – Andrey Sharonov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Economic Policy;
“For Contribution to the Development of the Country’s Economy” – Boris Titov, Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights;
“For Contribution to the Development of Domestic Cinema” – Karen Shakhnazarov, General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of FSUE “Mosfilm Film Concern”;
“For Contribution to the Development of Theatrical Art” – Alexander Kalyagin, Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation and Artistic Director of the Moscow Theatre “ET CETERA”;
“For Social Responsibility” – Alexander Kiselev, General Director of FSUE “Russian Post”;
“For Contribution to the Development of Charity” – Eduard Taran, President of CJSC “RATM Holding”;
“For Active Civic Position” – Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Mikhail Efremov and creator of the “Citizen Poet” project Andrey Vasilyev;
“For Contribution to the Development of the Trust Management Market” – Sergei Orlov, General Director of CJSC Management Company “RVM Capital”;
“For Contribution to the Development of the Industry (Construction)” – Mikhail Viktorov, Head of Staff of the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY);
“For Contribution to the Development of the Financial Services Market in the Regions” – Alexander Malchevsky, President of the banking holding company of the Republican Financial Corporation;
“For Contribution to the Development of Infrastructure of the Moscow Region” – Yulia Zedina, Chair of the Coordinating Council of the banking holding company “FINHOLKOM-GROUP”;
“For Contribution to the Development of the Construction Services Market” – Andrey Rul, General Director of LLC “EliteStroyGroup.”
Participants in the ceremony received gold lapel badges and honorary diplomas. The Grand Prix laureate was presented with the Order of “Glory of the Fatherland.”
