In Irkutsk, a new sculptural composition, Date, was unveiled, becoming another detail in the citys transformation. The authors refined the original concept, removing the lamppost and making the bouquet larger, while keeping the compositions idea. The administration says such gifts from caring residents have become a good tradition, and hopes it will continue.

Acting Deputy Mayor - Chairman of the Committee on Urban Planning Policy of the Irkutsk City Administration Inna Kondratyeva: “Today we are unveiling another sculptural composition in our city. It is not very large, but, as they say, small but precious. “Date” is another drop in the transformation of our city. Recently, a good tradition has developed in Irkutsk: all new sculptures are gifts to our city from caring people. Thank you to them for this from the Irkutsk City Administration and all city residents. May this tradition continue, and may the city become better and more beautiful.”
Inna Kondratyeva recalled that the sculptural composition was first presented by the authors at the “Urban Planning-2012” exhibition. It was immediately noticed and appreciated by the city mayor Viktor Kondrashov, in effect giving it a chance at life.
It took a year from the idea to its realization. Since then, the sculpture has undergone minor changes. The lamppost beside which the “Lover” (as the composition was called) originally stood was decided to be removed by the authors, and the bouquet of flowers was enlarged. Everything else remained unchanged.
