The KVN team Raisy will continue to receive support from the city budget. This year 3.5 million rubles will be allocated for flights, lodging, room rental and props. At the meeting they also discussed the teams main problems, lack of a rehearsal hall and a commercial sponsor, and in the end they found a meeting place in the assembly hall of the Pravoberezhny district administration. In addition city authorities are considering buying a building for the Palace of Youth and are helping find a sponsor.

As the director of the “Raisy” team, Mikhail Zubkov, explained, the funds allocated from the city budget for two years in a row go toward airfare for team members, accommodation, rental of premises in Moscow for rehearsals, and props. Thus, 3.5 million rubles will be allocated from the city treasury this year.
Despite this, the team is currently facing two major problems: the lack of a rehearsal hall and the lack of a commercial sponsor. In this regard, they also discussed the possibility of building or purchasing premises for the “Youth Palace.”
“At present, we are negotiating the acquisition of a building for the ‘Youth Palace’ into municipal ownership, and specialists are studying possible sites. This year we will come very close to resolving this issue,” noted Duma Speaker Andrey Labygin. “In addition, seeing the team’s worthy and high-quality level of preparation and performance, the deputies and the city administration and I have decided to continue supporting the team from the city budget.”
During the meeting, a venue for training camps and rehearsals was also found. It became the assembly hall of the Pravoberezhny District administration. Andrey Labygin also offered assistance in finding a commercial sponsor. It is possible that, as a result of the negotiations, the Irkutsk compatriots’ association in Moscow will become one.
As a reminder, in 2009 the KVN team “Raisy” was created on the basis of the Baikal KVN League. Following the International KVN Teams Festival “KiViN-2012,” the “Raisy” team was invited to participate in the Major League of the International KVN Union, whose games are broadcast by Channel One.
Having won three games, the team advanced to the final of the Major League of the International KVN Union, which took place in December 2012 in Moscow and brought the team bronze medals. On March 3, following the third game of the 1/8 finals of the KVN Major League 2013, the girls became quarterfinalists of the current season. The team consists of 16 people (including the acting, writing, and administrative staff), all with experience participating in Major League and Premier League KVN games.
