Participants also had a dance flash mob, workshops, quizzes, and contests to draw attention to a healthy lifestyle and show an alternative to bad habits. The next event will take place in the city on April 28.
As part of the campaign, everyone who wished was able to undergo a fluorographic examination free of charge with a medical insurance policy, as well as consult specialists from various agencies, take part in a dance flash mob, master classes in public speaking, quizzes and contests from student volunteers of the public organization “Anti-Drug Volunteer Movement of Youth” and the student teaching squad “Truvery.”“The traditional monthly ‘Health Day’ campaign is being held for the seventh time already. Last year, the event was held from March to October,” noted Olesya Kolaberdina, Director of the OGKU “Center for Drug Prevention.” “The goal of the campaign is to draw the attention of Irkutsk residents and the region’s inhabitants to their health, to show an alternative to bad habits so that people choose a healthy lifestyle. One such alternative is mass dances, participation in which will undoubtedly energize young people with vigor and positive energy.”
The organizers of the campaign are the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Irkutsk Region, the Ministry of Health of the Irkutsk Region, the OGKU “Center for Drug Prevention,” the Irkutsk Regional Anti-Tuberculosis Dispensary, and the regional public organization “Anti-Drug Volunteer Movement of Youth.”
The next “Health Day” campaign will take place in Irkutsk on April 28.
