The all Russian BiblioNight 2013 will be held at the Molchanov-Sibirsky Irkutsk Regional Library. From April 19 to 20, guests will find interactive areas united by book reader library. The program includes a night talk with a writer, rare books, a restoration workshop, family creative activities, retro records, a library quest, and a photo shoot in unusual interiors. This is a rare chance to spend the night in the library in a new way and discover its most unexpected formats.

The All-Russian “Biblionight-2013” campaign will take place at the Irkutsk Regional Library named after Molchanov-Sibirsky. On the night of April 19 to 20, from 20:00 to 01:00, there will be a series of interactive venues for different reader audiences, united by the overarching idea of book-reader-library. This is an upside-down night, when not only does the library give a book to the reader, but the reader also brings their books to the library.

“Night Conversation with a Writer” - a well-known Russian writer in direct contact with the library’s readers.
“VIP Library” - find out what successful people read! For just one night, well-known people from the city and region will place the best books from their libraries in Molchanovka.
Dedicated to all science workers - “Write a term paper overnight”! The help of bibliographers and our information databases will make this possible! (PS: we treat smart people to tea)
The venue called “Reading at Night” - for those who like to listen and read aloud, and then discuss what they have read in interesting company.
For lovers of rare and valuable books, “Gaevskaya’s Salon” in the Rare Book Collection will open its doors that night. We continue to uncover the mysteries of the collection and invite the best specialist experts for this purpose.
The master class “Be Your Own Restorer” at the Regional Center for the Restoration of Book Collections is a unique opportunity to “heal” a favorite book from your personal collection with your own hands under the supervision of professional restorers.
“Favorite Fairy Tale – with Your Own Hands” - a campaign for children and their parents. The Library, the Regional Film Fund, and 38mama.ru invite families to make puppets together and stage scenes from favorite fairy tales, filming an original cartoon that will become a decoration for the family archive.
For fans of retro recordings - “Old Record” in the art literature department. Create an individual sound cocktail from unique recordings from the library’s record collection.
“Bibliophars” - Molchanovka’s bibliomobile heads out at dusk to visit the Irkutsk district.
The game “Bibliocompass” - for those who have already become acquainted with the library. The main thing is not to lose the “thread of Ariadne” and be the first to make it through the library labyrinth! The best of the best will receive prizes.
