Ruslan Bolotov held an on site briefing at the construction of the new Angarsk Bridge and said two way traffic is planned to open in November. Work is ongoing around the clock, with dozens of machines on site, and builders are already preparing ramps, the roadbed and storm drainage. The bridge will be fully completed later, in 2011, and the project is already partly funded by federal and regional money.
Ruslan Bolotov held an on-site briefing regarding the construction of the new Angarsk Bridge. As the minister assured, traffic on it will be opened in both directions already in November of this year.Work at the construction site is being carried out around the clock. There are just over six months left until the second section of the new Angarsk Bridge is put into operation. Then traffic will open from the left bank to the right bank, with an exit onto Kommunisticheskaya Street. However, the bridge will be fully completed only in 2011. "This includes the construction of three exits, the roadbed, stormwater drainage, traffic organization. These are the treatment facilities for the left-bank approaches," said Pavel Tayursky, director of the directorate for the construction of the bridge across the Angara in Irkutsk.
At present, 30 units of equipment are involved at the site. There are more than five excavators alone. To level the ground, about 30,000 cubic meters of fill have already been brought here. But that is not enough. However, there should be no setbacks, the Minister of Construction and Road Management Ruslan Bolotov is confident. So far, difficulties have arisen only with the resettlement of citizens. The issues have been resolved. Many houses were included in the list of dilapidated housing stock.
At the end of December, the minister added, nearly 600 million rubles were allocated from the federal treasury for the work. An application was also submitted for this year. The preliminary amount is 505 million. Plus co-financing from the regional budget. These funds should be enough to open the road in both directions in November.
