Irkutsk Region co finances scientific projects with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research under the RFBR Siberia program. In 2012, 25 studies were supported from the regional budget, and this year 3 million rubles are allocated for this purpose. Authorities stress that such high tech developments are important for industrial growth and the regions competitive advantages.
Within the framework of state support for scientific, scientific-technical, and innovative activity, Irkutsk Oblast participates on a parity basis with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research in financing scientific research under the “RFBR-Siberia” projects (Irkutsk Oblast). In 2012, 25 projects were financed from the regional budget.– The development of industrial production is impossible without high-tech projects that give producers in our region a competitive advantage. This work is carried out in close cooperation with the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Irkutsk State University. This year, 3 million rubles have been allocated in the regional budget for financing projects, – the minister emphasized.
