Irkutsk kindergarten No. 152 was among the winners of the all Russian ranking of educational institutions and received the right to free staff training under an additional vocational education program. The institution was praised for its strong teaching team and successful projects about the native region, Siberia and Baikal. The project Near Baikal, Our Home took first place in an all Russian contest and was recommended for nationwide use.

1292 educational institutions from different cities across Russia took part in the ranking; 35 of them were recognized as winners and awarded free training for staff as part of the additional professional education program from the RAZVITUM project.
As the head of Kindergarten No. 152, Nadezhda Nazarchuk, said, the kindergarten was opened in 1988 and was under the jurisdiction of the Irkutsk River Port. In 1993, the institution was transferred to the balance sheet of the Sverdlovsk Education Department of the city of Irkutsk.
The kindergarten has 13 groups, including: 3 early-age groups, 9 preschool groups of general developmental orientation, and 1 group for children with severe speech impairments. There are 24 teachers working here: 12 of them have qualification categories, 12 have higher pedagogical education, 10 have secondary specialized education, and 2 are university students.
“Most of the teachers, together with the children, take part in and win prizes in various creative competitions; through the joint creativity of the child, the teacher, and the parents, deep work is being done to foster in children a sense of patriotism and love for their home,” Nadezhda Nazarchuk said.
The creative initiative group of educators, Eleonora Ivoylova, Galina Volkova, Galina Butina, and Elena Lyutikova, developed and implemented into the educational process the project “Studying the Native Land, Siberia, Lake Baikal.” As part of this work, the teachers presented articles that were awarded third-degree diplomas in the all-Russian professional mastery competition “Profi” of the educational project “Razvitum”: Elena Lyutikova for publishing the original material “Introducing Older Preschool Children to the Origins of Russian Folk Culture through the Motifs of a Clay Toy,” Eleonora Ivoylova for publishing the original material “Forming the Foundations of Ecological Culture in Older Preschoolers Using the Regional Component,” and Galina Volkova for publishing the original material “Developing the Speech of Older Preschoolers through Familiarization with World Artistic Culture.” As a result, the joint work of the teachers led to the creation of the project “Pribaikalye Is Our Home,” which was presented at the all-Russian competition of the educational project “Razvitum” in St. Petersburg and took first place. The organizing committee of the “Razvitum” project recommended that the experience of the Irkutsk educators be shared at the all-Russian level.
