In Irkutsk, the premiere of a play based on Yuri Korenev's Gonyemye chestyu took place, with actors from several city theaters and studios. The audience warmly welcomed it and wanted more performances, not only at the Youth Theater but elsewhere.

Actors from the Irkutsk Drama Theater, the youth theater “Sign of Aquarius,” the author’s play studio “Drop,” and the theater of everyday reconstruction “Curio” took part in the performance.
The audience warmly received the performance and wished the author and the creative team not to stop at what they had achieved.
“We really liked the performance, but it ended so quickly that we wanted a continuation. Nowadays, theaters usually stage well-known classics, and new works are rare. The play ‘Driven by Honor’ is very relevant, and it should be shown more often not only at the Youth Theater, but also in other theaters,” said audience member Yulia Kovrikova.
“Staging the play was a great challenge for me. And not only because this is my first dramatic work, but above all because of differences in views with the director on certain points: the characters’ personalities, the interpretation of the plot, and much more. Probably every author faces this, and reacts very painfully to any cutting or alteration of his work. Sometimes this worsens the overall picture, sometimes it leads to unexpected results. I think our disputes made it possible to arrive at a common understanding of the play and achieve a constructive compromise,” noted writer and Duma deputy Yuri Korenev.
In addition, Yuri Korenev promised that the staging of the play “Driven by Honor” would continue on other theater stages as well.
The premiere of the performance coincided with the decision of the Irkutsk branch of the Union of Writers of Russia to accept writer Yuri Korenev into its ranks.
