In Irkutsk, they warn this could reach the Russian market, so services inspect bases, markets and possible counterfeit sales. Residents are also urged to be careful with beef and pork dishes on flights between Russia and China, especially on Chinese airlines.
According to the Ministry of Public Security of China, since the end of January, 382 cases of fraud have been recorded in the country, and more than 20,000 tons of products sold as beef and lamb semi-finished products have been seized.Nevertheless, the risk of such products entering the territory of the Russian Federation remains. The relevant services have been instructed to carry out inspections of food warehouses, markets, and places where counterfeit meat products may be sold. It is possible that some of the specified products are labeled as manufactured in other countries.
There is also the possibility that such meat products are being sold on aircraft operating flights between the Russian Federation and the PRC, especially on board aircraft belonging to Chinese airlines. Therefore, when traveling on such flights, it is not recommended to consume the beef and pork dishes offered on board.
If such products are found on the consumer market in Irkutsk, please immediately report this to the Office of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing for the Irkutsk Region.
