From July 4 to 7 in Baikalsk at Sobolinaya Mountain resort, training camps and the 3rd stage of the Russian Mountain Bike Cup in downhill will be held. The course will be updated.
In the city of Baikalsk, from July 4 to 7, training camps and the 3rd stage of the Russian Mountain Bike Cup in the downhill discipline will be held at the Sobolinaya Gora Ski Resort. Specially for these events, the existing course will be significantly improved: the organizers will add new elements, repair old ones, speed up the turns, and widen narrow sections.The course has a vertical drop of 350 meters and a length of 2 km. The main part of the course, located in the forest belt, is filled with sections with roots and steep descents.
Brief event schedule:
· July 4 – training from 10:00. After 17:00, error analysis and a training session by Vladimir Pulyaevsky.
· July 5 – official course inspection and training from 10:00. Participant registration from 11:00 to 17:00. After 17:00, error analysis and a training session by Vladimir Pulyaevsky.
· July 6 – warm-up from 10:00 to 12:00, lineup at 13:00, qualification start at 13:30
· July 7 – warm-up from 10:00, final start at 13:30
The competitions will be held among the following categories:
1. Mandatory categories:
· Girls (no age limit)
· Juniors (born in 1995 and younger)
· Elite (born in 1994 and older)
2. Additional categories:
· Masters (born in 1983 and older)
· Amateurs (born in 1984-1994)
