In Irkutsk, Internal Security officers of the Main Directorate of the Interior Ministry found a serious violation by a security patrol that detained a 15 year old teenager. The check showed police used force and special means without considering the level of resistance, after which the minor had injuries. As a result, the guilty officers will be dismissed, and their superiors will face disciplinary action.

Employees of the Internal Security Unit of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region uncovered a serious violation of official discipline and the requirements of the law “On Police” by a private security patrol that detained a 15-year-old teenager in Irkutsk.
On the evening of June 17, on Baikalskaya Street, an elderly woman approached the police and reported a disturbance of public order by a group of young people. For further investigation, the teenager whom the pensioner had pointed out was taken to the police station. During the arrest, he actively resisted physically, so the officers handcuffed him.
During the clarification of the circumstances, the juvenile affairs inspector found no grounds for drawing up administrative reports and handed the detainee over to his parents. Later, forensic medical experts recorded injuries on the young man that were classified as not causing harm to health.
During the inspection, representatives of the Main Directorate found violations in the actions of the two senior sergeants in the form of the use of force and special means against a minor, without taking into account the degree of resistance offered.
As a result of the inspection, the guilty employees will be dismissed from the internal affairs bodies for committing an act that discredits the honor and dignity of a police officer. Their immediate superiors will be brought to disciplinary responsibility.
