In Irkutsk, the director of a sports school became a defendant in a criminal case of abuse of office. Investigators believe she arranged fake contracts for two coach teachers, including a close relative. Under these documents, salary, bonuses, benefits, and seniority were accrued for several years, and 400 thousand rubles were paid into the workers accounts, almost all of which were cashed out. The investigation is now ending, and the case is being prepared for court.

Employees of economic security uncovered the fact of abuse of official authority by the head of an Irkutsk sports school.
In May of this year, based on materials from the Economic Security Department of Police Station No. 6 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Irkutsk, a criminal case was opened under Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the fact of an official crime. The defendant in the case was a 58-year-old female director of the educational institution.
As the police established, the offender drew up fictitious contracts under which two coach-instructors were employed, including her close relative. For several years, they allegedly ran sports sections in different schools in the Irkutsk district, receiving salaries, bonuses, and severance payments for their work. In addition, their employment record was being accumulated, pension contributions were being transferred, and other benefits due to education workers in rural areas were being applied.
During this “employment” activity, 400,000 rubles were transferred to the salary cards of these fictitious employees. Almost all of the funds were cashed out by the dishonest director. According to investigators, it is possible that the number of “dead souls” could have been much larger.
At present, officers of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Irkutsk Region are completing the investigation of this criminal case. It will be sent to court in the near future. For committing such a crime, the suspect could face up to four years in prison.
