In Irkutsk, several large patches of wild hemp were found, on a vacant lot on Zhelyabov Street, near the Molchanov-Sibirsky library, and on a plot of about 15 sotkas in Irkutsk 2. The youth mayor's office has already mowed and destroyed the plants on part of the areas, and a letter was sent to the library owners. The most difficult was the plantation near the treatment facilities, such a volume is not easy to handle in one day, and the collected hemp had to be burned.
The largest thickets of hemp were found in three places: a vacant lot on Zhelyabov Street, flower beds near one of the buildings of the Molchanov-Sibirsky Library, and an entire plantation of 15 sotkas not far from the left-bank sewage treatment facilities in Irkutsk-2. A letter was sent to the owners of the library building through the Irkutsk branch of the Federal Drug Control Service, and representatives of Irkutsk’s youth city administration went to destroy the hemp on the other sites. The vacant lot, where the children’s town “Treasure Island” used to be located, is fenced off. However, that does not stop someone from entering here to collect wild hemp. Representatives of the youth city administration mowed down what was left and collected the plants in garbage bags.
At the next address, not far from the left-bank sewage treatment facilities, the wild hemp plantation covers an area of about 15 sotkas. Representatives of the youth city administration noted that it would be difficult to handle such a volume on their own in one day. After collection, all the hemp plants were burned in a bonfire.
