The offender turned out to be a 15-year-old resident of the city of Angarsk. Within just a few hours, the caller was giving explanations to the operatives. The high school student immediately admitted to making the call. The teenager said that he dialed the airline’s phone number on his tablet computer out of hooligan motives.The teenager’s mobile device has been seized, and the question of initiating a criminal case under Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, “Knowingly false report of an act of terrorism,” which provides for a maximum penalty of up to 3 years’ imprisonment, is being decided.
