Parachute sports competitions were held in Irkutsk Region, dedicated to military patriotic education, the development of this sport, and attracting youth to aviation technical disciplines. Alexey Roev took first place, Yanina Lapteva second, and Dmitry Kiselev third. The organizers were regional sports and aviation bodies of DOSAAF Russia and the regional ministry of physical culture, sports, and youth policy.
The competitions were held with the aim of military-patriotic education of Russian citizens, the development and popularization of parachuting in the Irkutsk Region, attracting young people to aviation and technical sports, identifying the strongest parachutist athletes, and improving parachutists’ skills.According to the results of the competitions, Alexey Royev took first place, Yanina Lapteva took second place, and Dmitry Kiselev, respectively, took third place.
Parachutist athletes from the Irkutsk Region were allowed to participate in the competitions. All participants had clearance in accordance with the requirements of RPP-2010.
The organizers of the sporting event were the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Irkutsk Region, the regional branch of the Volunteer Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy of Russia, and the Irkutsk Aviation Training Center of the Volunteer Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation and Navy of Russia.
