With a friend she secretly took strong alcohol from home and lost consciousness in a city park. Her condition has stabilized, and police are investigating and plan to hold the parents administratively liable. The agency also reminded adults to monitor childrens leisure and safety.
The previous evening, the duty unit of the OMVD of Russia for the Shelekhov District received a report from the emergency room of the city hospital that a minor had been brought from the territory of Metallurg Park in a first-degree coma. According to the doctors, the 15-year-old girl had been poisoned by alcohol.During the investigation, police officers found out that on that day two friends, aged 14 and 15, secretly took a strong alcoholic beverage from home without their parents’ knowledge. One of the minors became ill after drinking it. Right on a bench in the city park, she lost consciousness. Witnesses called an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors diagnosed severe ethanol poisoning. The girl has now regained consciousness, and her condition has stabilized.
It has been established that the schoolgirls live in well-off families. They are not under supervision by the juvenile affairs unit.
At present, an investigation is being conducted into the incident, and the parents and other persons are being questioned. The students have been placed on police record, and their parents will be held administratively liable, with the materials to be subsequently reviewed by the juvenile affairs commission.
The police warn adults of their responsibility for raising children and monitoring how they spend their free time.
