In Irkutsk, schoolchildren were reminded of fire safety rules and how to act in case of a fire. In the lesson, fifth graders learned how to handle fire and electrical appliances, how to call firefighters, and what to do if a fire does start. Such lessons will continue in the city schools, and the regional EMERCOM leadership is also planned to take part.

As a rule, schoolchildren spend their free half of the day at home alone, which means they are left to their own devices, - commented Inspector of the Supervision Activities Department of Irkutsk, Senior Lieutenant of the Internal Service Ilya Murashev. – Today we met with fifth-grade students of Secondary School No. 53. Some of the children live in well-appointed apartments, while others live in private houses. The fire safety features in these conditions are different, but almost all the students know how to call the fire department, how to extinguish a small fire, and how to escape in the event of a fire.
A schedule has been drawn up for holding such classes in schools - the leadership of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Irkutsk Region will also be involved in conducting them.
