In the Kayskaya grove in Irkutsk, reforestation and forest protection work continues. After the open auction on September 2, 2013, the municipal tree planting contract will be signed with Empire LLC. In autumn, 7 to 8 year old pines will be planted here, which take root better and suffer less in winter and summer, and 4 saplings will appear at the expense of Russian Railways as compensatory greening. The work is supported by Irkutsk City Duma deputy Alexey Kolmakov.
According to the results of the open auction held on September 2, 2013, a municipal contract for the performance of the above-mentioned works is being concluded with the winner, LLC “Empire.” The age of these trees is about 7–8 years. Although the cost of such seedlings is higher than that of small 3-year-old seedlings, they take root better: in winter, the trees rise above the snow cover and cannot be accidentally damaged by pedestrians, and in summer such pines are less susceptible to “burning” in the sun.In addition, in the fall, 4 large-sized seedlings will be planted at the expense of JSC “Russian Railways” - in place of the two trees that were cut down on the grounds of the children’s health resort at 62 Zhukovsky St., located near the Kayskaya Grove on private land. The planting will be carried out as part of the compensation greening agreement with JSC “Russian Railways.”
Reforestation and forest protection measures in the Kayskaya Grove are being carried out with the support of Irkutsk City Duma deputy Alexey Kolmakov.
