In the Irkutsk region, weightlifting competitions will be held for boys and girls under 18 with third sports rank. Participants will compete individually in their weight classes, then team winners will be determined by total points.
Boys and girls who have a third sports rank in weightlifting and are no older than 18 are allowed to take part in the competition. The chief judge of the competition has been appointed as coach of the Siberyak Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve Andrey Starikov.The boys’ competitions will be held in eight weight categories: 50 kg, 56 kg, 62 kg, 69 kg, 77 kg, 85 kg, 94 kg, 94 kg and over. Among the girls, the competitions will take place in seven weight categories: 44 kg, 48 kg, 53 kg, 58 kg, 63 kg, 69 kg, 69 kg and over. The competitions will be held among boys and girls in the individual standings, and then, based on the total points, the leaders of the team standings will be determined.
The organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Angara Region and the Weightlifting Federation of the Irkutsk Region.
