In Irkutsk, the Health Day campaign was held for the second time, aimed at preventing negative phenomena and promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth. Participants enjoyed contests, prizes, sports and dance performances, and a flash mob contest won by the Irkutsk Regional College of Pedagogical Education team. Also, anyone could get materials and advice on healthy eating and quitting smoking.

Let us remind you that the “Health Day” campaign has been held for the second year in a row with the aim of preventing socially negative phenomena and promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people.
During the event, volunteers from the public youth organization “Anti-Drug Volunteer Movement of Youth” held contests for everyone interested on knowledge of proverbs about health, songs, and others. Thus, the winner of the contest of proverbs about health was Daria Yeropova, a student of the Irkutsk State Agricultural Academy. All contest participants were awarded prizes and gifts from the TNT TV channel and the Irkutsk language center “Big Ben.”
For the first time as part of “Health Day,” demonstration performances were given by athletes from the Powerlifting Federation of the Irkutsk Region. Energetic dances were performed by female students of the East Siberian State Academy of Education. Young people from the break-dance group “APS” amazed everyone with their skill.
Seven teams from the East Siberian State Academy of Education, the Irkutsk State Linguistic University, and secondary specialized educational institutions of the city took part in the flash mob contest organized by the Department for Physical Culture, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Irkutsk City Administration. As a result, the team from the Irkutsk Regional College of Pedagogical Education won.
In addition, visual and informational materials about a healthy lifestyle were distributed, and citizens were able to receive consultations from specialists from various agencies on issues of healthy eating, quitting smoking, etc.
