An annual patriotic song contest has been announced in Irkutsk Region for young performers and creative groups aged 14 to 30. Participants will compete for prizes in several categories, and the best performances will be chosen by a jury. The awards ceremony will take place on November 26 at the gala concert in the Irkutsk Regional Philharmonic.
The Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Irkutsk Region has announced the annual regional patriotic song contest for 2013. The application and package of documents for participation in the contest are submitted by the administrations of municipal entities to the ministry by October 25.The main goals of the contest are to develop creative potential and foster patriotic feelings among the young generation of the Irkutsk Region.
Creative groups and solo performers living in the territory of the Irkutsk Region, aged 14 to 30 inclusive, may take part in the contest. At the same time, a participant may take part in only one category. The contest is held in three categories: song performers, singer-songwriters, vocal-instrumental ensembles (live sound), and vocal groups.
The winners of the contest are determined by the total number of points awarded by the present members of the contest jury. In each category, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are awarded. The awards ceremony for the winners will take place at the gala concert in the concert hall of the Irkutsk Regional Philharmonic on November 26, 2013.
