Next year the Pension Fund of Russia plans to raise the basic part of pensions by 37.2 percent to bring it to the pensioners subsistence minimum. In Irkutsk Region new labor pension amounts and an April reindexing of the insurance part are also expected. Pensioners were also reminded of the end of the campaign to submit applications to choose how to invest the funded part of the labor pension.
The Pension Fund of Russia intends to increase the basic part of pensions by 37.2% next year.Thus, the amount of the pension will reach the subsistence minimum for a pensioner. This was reported to "Sibirskie Novosti" by Tatyana Suloeva, leading specialist-expert on media relations at the Irkutsk branch of the PFR. The average amount of the old-age labor pension in the Irkutsk Region by the end of 2009 will be about 5.1 thousand rubles, the labor disability pension - 3.8 thousand rubles, and the survivor's pension - 2.5 thousand rubles. The average disability pension will be about 3.6 thousand rubles.
Also in April, a reindexation of the insurance part of pensions is expected.
In addition, the PFR branch for the Irkutsk Region issued a statement reminding that the 2008 campaign for accepting applications from insured persons on choosing a method of investing the funded part of the labor pension is nearing completion. All applications submitted by the end of 2008 will be considered by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation by March 1, 2009.
