In Sayansk, two night thefts of chicken carcasses from a poultry farm were solved. Detectives traced former workers, one of whom knew the site well. Suspects aged 25 and 30 were detained after reports of chicken being sold by a private person, and some stolen goods were found in searches. Criminal cases were opened.
The first theft occurred under the cover of night in early October. The other day, a similar theft of chicken carcasses was committed in the same way. Officers of the criminal investigation department of the MO of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs “Ziminsky” (stationed in the city of Sayansk) suspected that former employees of the farm were involved in the theft of broiler products, and they were right. Soon, detectives received information about the sale of chicken by a private individual and detained the suspects. They turned out to be local residents aged 25 and 30, one of whom had previously worked at the poultry farm and knew the premises well.As Head of Criminal Investigation Oleg Sivitsky said, part of the stolen products was found during searches at the suspects’ places of residence. Criminal cases have been initiated on the facts of the thefts under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft committed by a group of persons with unlawful entry into a storage facility).
