From October 31 to November 3, Irkutsk will host the youth career guidance fair Choose a Profession, where more than 30 universities, technical schools and colleges will present their programs, admission requirements and in demand specialties. Visitors will find workshops, trainings, a job fair and consultations to help students and graduates choose a future profession and find employment.

From October 31 to November 3, 2013, the specialized youth career guidance exhibition “Choose a Profession” will be held at the Irkutsk exhibition complex “Sibexpocentre.”
More than 30 higher and secondary specialized educational institutions from Irkutsk and other cities will take part in the “Choose a Profession” exhibition. Universities, technical schools, and colleges will present their educational institutions, talk about which professions and specialties they teach, explain admission requirements, and distribute brochures and memos to applicants.
At the exhibition, school students will be able to determine the field of their future professional activity, learn how in demand it is on the labor market, and assess opportunities for further employment. But most importantly, future students will be able to obtain the necessary information about educational institutions directly “from the source.”
A special business program has been prepared for exhibition visitors. There will be master classes on synchronized table setting, “Culinary Defile,” and “Special Tourist Equipment and Its Capabilities,” as well as the trainings “Managing Yourself and Your Time” and “Effective Communication,” which will be useful not only for school students, but also for working people.
During the exhibition, a “Job Fair” will take place, which will help students and graduates of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions find employment. As part of the “Job Fair,” it will be possible to receive career-oriented counseling.
On the stage area of the “Sibexpocentre,” performances by creative groups and a demonstration of students’ creative potential are planned. The exhibition will conclude with the announcement of the results of the competition for the best exhibitor.
