In Irkutsk at the 20th specialized exhibition Sibzdravookhraneniye 2013, more than 100 companies and healthcare institutions from Russia, Germany, China and South Korea presented their achievements. Visitors could see new medical equipment and services, get exams, consultations, and even a flu shot. The business program gathered over 350 participants and focused on checkups, prevention and treatment of socially significant diseases.

Recall that the XX specialized exhibition “Sibzdravookhraneniye-2013” was held at the exhibition complex of OJSC “Sibexpocentre” from October 1 to 4. More than 100 companies and healthcare institutions took part in it. In addition to representatives of Irkutsk and the Irkutsk Region, specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, and Yekaterinburg became participants in “Sibzdravookhraneniye.” In addition, achievements in the production of medical equipment were demonstrated by representatives of German, Chinese, and South Korean companies.
The exposition featured 12 regional healthcare institutions, 24 city healthcare institutions, health centers, and 75 commercial institutions providing various services, even dental treatment on credit. In addition, the exhibition was attended by the Irkutsk State Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education and the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund.
As part of the exhibition’s business program, specialists from the Ministry of Health of the Irkutsk Region held Health Organizer Day, dedicated to issues of medical checkups for various population groups, as well as round tables on the treatment and prevention of socially significant diseases and the prospects for the development of services in the socially significant field. More than 350 people took part in the round tables.
In total, about 14,000 people visited the exhibition. The health centers offered visitors the opportunity to undergo examinations to identify risk factors for disease development and get a flu shot. 376 people used consultations from specialists at the adult health centers at the exhibition. In the children’s health center, 30 children were examined (spirometry, pulse oximetry and blood pressure, cardiogram, smokelyzer, bioimpedance measurement). 104 exhibition guests were vaccinated against influenza. Thanks to specialists from the health center of the Angarsk Medical and Sports Dispensary, about 600 people were able to check their eye pressure using a non-contact method.
