In Irkutsk, police launched a prevention campaign, Do not let a criminal celebrate New Year at your expense, reminding residents of the rise in car thefts and pickpocketing before the holidays.
In Irkutsk, the police preventive campaign “Don’t Let the Criminal Celebrate New Year at Your Expense” has begun. It is no secret that in the pre-New Year period a large number of thefts of expensive items and money left by Irkutsk residents in car interiors, as well as pickpocketing incidents, are recorded.Officers of the Irkutsk police have developed special preventive leaflets, the so-called “Letters to Drivers.” They set out real-life situations described by victims.
Citizens can print out these letters and tell their relatives, friends, neighbors, and colleagues about them, thereby once again reminding them of property security measures.
