A new biathlon department has opened in the Irkutsk region, equipped with a shooting range, a spacious locker room, a coach room and a gym. Children have been enrolled since last September, and now 70 kids aged nine and older attend daily under an experienced coach. More than 150 people in six municipalities already do biathlon in the region.

Currently, 70 children aged nine and older are training in the new department. Classes are held daily under the guidance of an experienced coach.According to the public organization “Union of Biathletes of the Irkutsk Region,” more than 150 people in six municipalities in the region are involved in biathlon.
