In Irkutsk this year road works will cover most streets. Planned are pothole repairs, large patch repairs, road and sidewalk upgrades in private areas and courtyard driveways. Several main roads are also being prepared for major repair, including Radishchev, Napolnaya and Mira streets, with hundreds of millions of rubles allocated. Work will continue throughout the warm season.
Most of Irkutsk’s streets will be covered by pothole repairs. In addition, a list of streets where repairs will be carried out in large sections is now being compiled. More than 120 million has been allocated for the repair of roads and sidewalks in the private sector, and over 265 million for intra-yard repairs. This year, major repairs of Irkutsk’s main roads are also planned. They will be carried out on Radishcheva Street, the repair of which began last year. The cost is 147 million rubles; the section from Barrikad to Kirpichnaya will be repaired. Documentation is being prepared for the repair of Napolnaya Street, with the total amount of funds from the city and regional budgets exceeding 211 million rubles. Following the auction, the cost of the major repair of Mira Street amounted to about 350 million rubles.Road works in Irkutsk will continue throughout the entire warm season.
