Center specialists will help patients quit drugs and cope with withdrawal, restore communication skills, family relations, and return to normal life. Special attention will be given to helping with employment and restoring lost documents.
The Center for Medical and Social Rehabilitation has 25 beds. Under the long-term target program “Comprehensive Measures for the Prevention of Drug and Psychotropic Substance Abuse” for 2011-2013, equipment worth about 3 million rubles was purchased.– This institution is necessary and in demand. The Center will make it possible to provide patients with the necessary care more effectively, and, most importantly, to achieve results, – Nikolai Kornilov emphasized.
As the head of the Center, Maria Manzheeva, said, the staff’s work will be aimed at developing patients’ motivation to stop using drugs, relieving withdrawal syndrome, developing communication skills, reducing somatic and behavioral disorders and personality changes, developing the skills of a responsible lifestyle that excludes drug use, and restoring family relationships. The program is designed for a period of 9 to 12 months. Rehabilitation will be carried out at the expense of the regional budget.
In addition, interagency cooperation is planned to address issues related to assisting patients in finding employment and restoring lost documents.
