Irkutsk police officers took part in a blood drive without leaving work, with staff from different units donating blood. In a few hours they collected over 15 liters of blood to help in complex surgeries and aid crash and accident victims.
Police officers were able to donate blood without practically leaving their workplace. Donors included employees from various units of the internal affairs bodies: investigation, inquiry, patrol and guard service, and others. As the medical staff noted, they are always glad to see law enforcement officers among the volunteers because they undergo regular medical examinations and are in good health.Over the course of several hours, the officers donated more than 15 liters of blood, which will be used during complex operations and sent to medical institutions to help victims of road traffic accidents and other incidents.
