On Irkutsk City Day, June 7, alcohol sales will be restricted at mass celebration venues. The ban will apply to stores in event areas and within 100 meters of them, including beer and beer drinks. Police will monitor compliance.

In connection with the holding of mass events on Irkutsk City Day on June 7, the city authorities have decided to restrict the sale of alcohol in the celebration areas. Retail sale of alcoholic products, including beer and beer beverages, will be prohibited in retail outlets located in the areas where cultural and mass events are held, as well as within a radius of 100 meters from the venues of the specified events (3rd of July St., Lenin St., Gagarin Boulevard, the square near the building of the Government of the Irkutsk Region, Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya St., Kirov Square, the 130th Quarter). Compliance with the specified restrictions by retail enterprises will be monitored by police officers.
