In Irkutsk, the improvement of the recreational area of Pad Dolgaya between the Pervomaysky and Universitetsky districts was discussed. The mayor said the reconstruction project is valued at over 25 million rubles, so only partial work is being done for now. Pull off bays have been made, curbs laid, the path along the stream asphalted, and lawns arranged. It was also ordered to check the lighting and the condition of the path to School 55, test water from the spring, and involve environmental teams in trash cleanup.

The head of the city, answering a question about the improvement of the recreational area of Pad Dolgaya, located between the Pervomaisky and Universitetsky neighborhoods, said that Pad Dolgaya has always been a favorite place of rest for residents of the two neighborhoods, and the improvement of this recreational area is necessary.
Several years ago, a reconstruction project for this area was drawn up. It is expensive—over 25 million rubles—and the city administration is not yet able to allocate such an amount from the budget and implement it, since Irkutsk currently faces more pressing problems—building kindergartens, repairing schools, and improving roads. This year, partial improvements have already been carried out in Pad Dolgaya. By the efforts of the municipal enterprise Irkutskavtodor, two pull-off bays were built, new curb stones were laid, the path along the stream was paved, and about 1,000 square meters of lawns were landscaped.
The head of the city said that the Committee for Urban Improvement has been instructed to check the lighting of the path leading to School No. 55, as well as to tidy up the path itself. The Department of Environmental Safety and Control has been instructed to take a water sample from the spring, which local residents consider healing. City of Irkutsk mayor’s environmental teams will be involved in cleaning up the litter in the recreational area.
The head of the city once again emphasized that all the problems of Pervomaisky are known to the city administration and are in many ways typical for Irkutsk as a whole. They must be solved systematically. Thus, the city administration is carrying out systematic work to restore order in the urban transport sector. Conditions are being created in passenger transportation under which negligent carriers are forced to leave the market or begin working in accordance with modern requirements and legal standards. The issue of places in kindergartens is being addressed systematically, and great attention is being paid to creating accessible sports infrastructure.
