The 4th Irkutsk Mayor's Cup in mini soccer among yard teams started with a friendly match between the Leninsky and Sverdlovsky district teams. This year the organizers simplified the rules and registration to attract as many beginner teams as possible, and applications can be submitted even before the first games begin. The tournament will run on weekends until September 27, and both younger and older schoolchildren can take part.

A friendly match between the football teams of the Leninsky and Sverdlovsky districts opened the 4th Irkutsk Mayor’s Cup in mini-football among neighborhood teams.
The Sverdlovsky district team was assembled from schoolchildren from the Glazkovo suburb, who train on the renovated court at 44 4th Zheleznodorozhnaya Street. The team has been playing for more than one year and is considered one of the strongest neighborhood football teams in Irkutsk.
The main lineup of the Leninsky district team was formed from students of School No. 36. The sports court at the Batareynaya station was transferred to the city sports and methodological center less than a year ago, so the team has been training for only a few months.
This year, the organizers of the mini-football competition for the Irkutsk Mayor’s Cup among neighborhood teams have simplified the rules of the game and team registration as much as possible. The goal is to attract as many such beginner teams as possible.
The first-stage games are held until September 27 on Saturdays and Sundays. The last to play (starting September 13) are the older school students. This is done so that those who are away at summer camps until mid-August can also take part in the tournament.
Applications for participation this year can be submitted directly until the start of the first games of the first round, which will make it possible for the maximum number of neighborhood teams to take part in the competition.
