The Irkutsk children's choreographic ensemble Fantasia won second place at the all Russian festival contest Rainbow of Talents in Vladivostok, performing in the Folk Dance category among participants aged 14 to 17. Especially impressive is that the group also included children under 14, who managed to compete well with older rivals. The ensemble includes children from 7 to 17, learning folk, classical and modern dance, as well as acrobatics, gymnastics and stagecraft.

The Irkutsk children’s model choreographic ensemble “Fantaziya” took second place at the all-Russian festival-competition of children’s creativity “Rainbow of Talents,” which was held at the All-Russian Children’s Center “Ocean” in Vladivostok. The dance group is based at the aesthetic center of supplementary education of Education Center No. 47 in the city of Irkutsk.
The ensemble “Fantaziya” came second in the “Folk Dance” category in the 14–17 age group. It is worth noting that of the 18 people in the group’s main lineup, 7 children were still under 14; nevertheless, they performed no worse, and in many ways even better, than their older rivals.
Today, the “Fantaziya” ensemble has five groups: a preparatory group (1st-grade students), two junior groups (2nd–3rd grades), a middle group (4th–6th grades), and a senior group. The children are aged from 7 to 17. The training program includes folk dance, classical dance, and modern dance. In addition, all age groups take mandatory classes in acrobatics and gymnastics, as well as stagecraft.
The all-Russian festival-competition of children’s creativity “Rainbow of Talents” took place from July 23 to August 12 with the aim of identifying, developing, and supporting talented children and youth in Russia. As part of the festival, competitive auditions, concert programs, an exhibition of children’s creative works, master classes, creative laboratories, a literary lounge, and a conference were held. The organizers were the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Federal Center for Technical Creativity, and the All-Russian Children’s Center “Ocean.”
