At the A.S. Pushkin Children's Library, the poetry recital contest Big Poetry for Little Children was held, bringing together 32 preschoolers from Right Bank district kindergartens. The children read poems by Russian classics and modern poets about autumn, and the most active were pupils of kindergarten No. 82. All participants received children's books as gifts, and the contest became another step toward the city festival Reading Pushkin.

In the Pravoberezhny District, the A.S. Pushkin Children's Library held a recitation contest, “Big Poetry for Little Children.”
The celebration was organized for kindergarten pupils in the district. On September 23, 32 preschoolers gathered at the library, having prepared poems by Russian classics and contemporary poets dedicated to the bright and beloved season of autumn.
The most active reciters were the pupils of Kindergarten No. 82. All participants in the contest were rewarded with children’s books from the Pravoberezhny District Administration Committee. This is not the first recitation contest among preschoolers — on Pushkin Day, June 6, the little ones also recited poems by Alexander Sergeyevich. Such contests not only develop artistic taste and a love of poetry, but also serve as a kind of stepping stone for participation in the citywide Festival of the Russian Word, “Reading Pushkin,” which is held annually at the A.S. Pushkin Library.
