In Irkutsk, installation of decorative LED lighting is nearing completion on Dekabrskikh Sobytiy and Karla Marksa streets, with 121 garlands totaling 6 kilometers. 141 LED consoles have already been installed on Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya and Lermontova, and the city says this lighting is economical and will transform the city at night. Authorities also plan to expand the project to other streets and invite businesses to join in decorating their areas in a unified style.

Equipment installation is currently underway. Decorative LED lighting will appear on Dekabrskikh Sobytiy and Karla Marksa streets – 121 garland, 50 meters each. A total of 6 kilometers. The contractor is currently completing the installation of the equipment.
As Deputy Mayor and Chairman of the Committee for Urban Development Bulat Dugurov said, 7.5 million rubles have been allocated from the city budget for the purchase of the equipment, and 1 million 786 thousand rubles have been spent on its installation.
“In addition to the LED garlands, 141 LED consoles have been purchased. They are already decorating Nizhnyaya Naberezhnaya and Lermontova streets,” Bulat Dugurov explained. “The equipment consumes little energy, so it will not be costly to operate, and it will significantly enhance the city’s appearance in the evening.”
If sufficient funding is available, in the coming years similar equipment is planned to be installed not only on central streets, but also on streets such as Mira, Roza Lyuksemburg, etc.
“We are also appealing to building owners, business centers, and shopping centers – they too can decorate the area around them, of course, in a unified architectural style – our city specialists will provide support in this, Bulat Dugurov continued. “It is not that expensive, and through the joint efforts of the city and business, by developing public-private partnership, we will noticeably transform our city together.”
