In Irkutsk, the kindergarten queue service has changed. Parents can now see their childs queue number in real time and information on beneficiaries. The enrollment service remains the same. The education department also reminded of new rules for those not planning to send a child to kindergarten in 2015.

This is related to Irkutsk’s joining the unified Russian information system for queuing for a kindergarten place.
As a reminder, on October 1, 2014, the regional automated information system “Kindergarten Placement (AIS KDOU)” began operating in Irkutsk. It was selected by the Ministry of Education of the Irkutsk Region and developed by the St. Petersburg company “Dnevnik.ru.”
Now, in the “Find out your kindergarten queue number” service, parents can find out their child’s queue number in real time, rather than as of a specific date, as was the case before. In addition, the service provides information about beneficiaries. The “Register a child for kindergarten” service has not changed. As before, parents can register their child on the Irkutsk city administration website and then, within a month, bring the documents to the city Department of Education. They can also go there directly during reception hours, which are listed on the official website of the local self-government bodies of the city of Irkutsk (www.admirk.ru).
In addition, when placing a child in the queue, parents most often write the wording “as soon as possible.” As explained by the Department of Education of the city of Irkutsk, previously, if a child was given a place in a kindergarten but the parents decided not to send him or her to the preschool institution, the child was restored to the queue according to the date of registration. In the new information system, the child is removed from the queue when a place is provided, even if he or she does not go to kindergarten. Therefore, the Department of Education is asking parents who do not plan to send their child to kindergarten in 2015 to submit, by February 1, 2015, an application to change the desired date of the child’s admission to kindergarten. If the child does not need the services of a municipal kindergarten in the 2015-2016 school year, parents need to submit an application to change the desired date of the child’s admission to kindergarten by May 31, 2015.
