In Irkutsk, the major renovation of the former Rossiya cinema is nearing completion, and it will become a cultural and leisure center for additional education for children and teenagers.

This was reported by the Education Department of the administration of the city of Irkutsk. As a reminder, the building of the former Rossiya cinema is now a structural subdivision of School No. 30 and will function as a cultural and leisure center for additional education for children and teenagers.
The major renovation of Rossiya began in February of this year. All construction work was completed on schedule. The auction for the construction and installation work was won by LLC German Technologies. The builders completely replaced the utility systems, ventilation, heating and water supply systems, and stage equipment. Work was also carried out on cladding the building facade, installing fencing, and landscaping the grounds.
At present, work on the technical equipment and stage design, as well as the installation of seats in the auditorium, is practically complete. Just over 33 million rubles were allocated from the city budget for the renovation.
The leisure center will house arts and aesthetics clubs (dance, music, drawing) and sports sections. Various public celebrations will also be held here. On the basement and first floors there are an auditorium, classrooms, a dance hall, a cloakroom, restrooms, a security office with video surveillance cameras, and utility rooms. On the second and third floors there are also classrooms for children's creativity and administrative offices.
People with disabilities will also be able to visit the Rossiya CDC. A ramp with a 12% incline and handrails has been installed for them, as well as a separate restroom.
