100 people will take the Unified State Exam ahead of schedule in the Irkutsk Region. As the Deputy Minister of Education of the Irkutsk Region, Maksim Parfenov, said during a trial Unified State Exam for journalists. “From March to April, it will be possible to take the Unified State Exam for current-year graduates who have no academic debts, including for the final essay, for 11th-grade students who have completed the study of programs in individual academic subjects, as well as for those who graduated from educational organizations with a certificate in previous years.
For journalists from Irkutsk media outlets, who became direct participants in the trial Unified State Exam-2015 in mathematics, an examination center was equipped on the basis of the regional information processing center in accordance with the requirements that will be implemented at all Unified State Exam testing sites during the exam period.
On Tuesday, February 10, the journalist participants in the trial Unified State Exam went through all the exam procedures, learned how registration for the exam is carried out, how entry to the examination center and into the classrooms is organized, listened to the mandatory briefing by the organizers, and also completed the exam tasks by filling out the corresponding control and measurement materials (CMMs). In addition, the journalists were introduced to the procedure for scanning answer sheets, their checking, and the rules for filing an appeal regarding a violation of the established procedure for conducting the Unified State Exam.
As Natalia Krasnova, head of the education supervision and oversight service in the Irkutsk Region, notes, violations during the Unified State Exam are becoming fewer and fewer every year. In 2013, 69 such cases were registered in the Irkutsk Region, while last year, in 2014, their number was only 14. Most of them were detected thanks to video surveillance cameras installed at the testing sites. At the same time. According to the official, “...the upcoming task is not to expel the graduate from the exam, but to stop an attempt to violate the rules before he has time to cheat.”
Earlier, last year, cross video surveillance cameras were connected at all examination centers in our region. Now the images from the cameras can be seen online by public observers and Rosobrnadzor. Police officers with metal detectors have also begun working at the examination centers.
If the examinee passes such a check and is later found to have a phone or any other electronic device, the exam results will be annulled, and retaking it will only be possible after one year.
