The Irkutsk Region Veterinary Service reminds animal owners of the need for seasonal preventive measures before grazing and before the winter stall period. These include tests and vaccinations that help protect livestock from dangerous diseases common to animals and humans, including anthrax, brucellosis, tuberculosis, and rabies. In Irkutsk, these measures are carried out centrally and free of charge, and if specialists are called to the home, the services are paid.

The Veterinary Service of the Irkutsk Region reminds animal owners that in spring, before driving animals out to pasture, and in autumn, before placing animals in the winter stall period, it is necessary to carry out a number of measures and protect animals from such dangerous diseases as anthrax, brucellosis, tuberculosis, foot-and-mouth disease, rabies, and others. Many of these diseases are common to animals and humans, and cases of infection are possible, including fatal ones.
Owners in our region must have animals tested for brucellosis, tuberculosis, leptospirosis, leukemia, hypodermatosis, glanders in horses, infectious anemia, and a number of other diseases. It is necessary to vaccinate cattle against anthrax and emphysematous carbuncle. The list of tests and vaccinations may change and be supplemented depending on the epizootic situation in the region.
