In Irkutsk this summer more than 50 students are planned to be employed at city municipal enterprises. They will be offered jobs at Vodokanal, Irkutskavtotrans, Irkutskgorelektrotrans, Irkutskavtodor and other organizations, as well as in the kitchens of kindergartens and summer camps. According to the head of the department, Dmitry Abramovich, negotiations were held with the heads of municipal enterprises and requests were made to the Committee for Urban Development, the Committee for Economy, and the Committee for Urban Planning Policy of the Irkutsk Administration.
The Committee for Urban Development is ready to hire 40 students for summer work. Thus, the municipal enterprise Vodokanal can offer students temporary work maintaining and repairing sewer networks and cleaning manholes of blockages. These jobs are performed under harmful working conditions, so only people who have reached adulthood and have been vaccinated against hepatitis and typhoid fever are allowed to do them. Irkutskavtotrans needs passenger transport inspectors, Irkutskgorelectrotrans needs conductors, and Irkutskavtodor needs cleaners and road workers. If there are available vacancies, the municipal enterprise Spetsavtokhozyaystvo is ready to offer students positions as loaders for cleaning and clearing container sites and the adjacent areas of solid household waste.
According to the Committee for Economy, the municipal enterprise Children's Dairy Kitchen needs 3 workers, Bytovik is ready to hire 5 students for the summer period, and the Central Market can offer students work as loaders and area cleaners for the period when the enterprise's employees are on vacation. Students will also be offered work in the food service units of kindergartens and out-of-town camps. A mandatory condition for these vacancies is having a sanitary record book with a completed medical examination.
